+ Love Them

My weak heart sank as i looked into their innocent eyes. The kids from Singapore Childrens' Society were indeed a sweet bunch. Many had hopes of becoming successful when they grow up, while the rest are left in wonders as to what they want to be. Being my first time doing volunteer work since i started working, i didnt know what to do or say to these kids. All i know is at the back of my mind, i just want them to feel happy just for the day by having us around. I'm glad to have gone through this with my 2 bestfriends and we indeed have learnt alot from this priceless experience. Looking at the 3 yr old, Xavier, who ended up sleeping in my arms on our way back, i prayed that he'd grow up to be a good person and not let his childhood memories affect him severely. The endless WHYs were constantly running through my mind when i see him laugh or start finding solace in me whenever he felt frightened. I got caught up with my emotions as i see D and Awin laughing along to the boy named Farhan who initially refused to talk to either one of us but as the day ended, he started joking around with them and did the Dayana's Hi5ives.

Wonderful moment it has been. Something worth cherishing.
